Society alumni inducted into National Gallery for America鈥檚 Young Inventors

In fall of 2015, the National Museum of Education announced the inductees for its 20th year of the聽.

Five of the six聽聽are Society alumni. Out of 124 National Gallery for America鈥檚 Young Inventors named in the past 20 years, 88 are Society alumni.

Below are the 2015 young inventors who also participated in Society educational programs.

  • Arjun Jay Arora, Grade 12, from Raleigh, North Carolina, for his聽Quantitative Analysis & Targeting of Inflammatory Breast Cancer Tumor Emboli. Arjun was a 2015 Intel ISEF finalist.
  • Emily Lorin Ashkin, college freshman, from Matthews, North Carolina, for her聽Novel Synergistic Method for Enhancing Immunotherapy in the Treatment of Melanoma.听Emily was a 2015 Intel STS finalist.
  • Clemen Zineng Deng, Grade 12, from Portland, Oregon, for his聽WHAVE: A Novel Machine Learning Method for More Accurate Breast Cancer Detection.听Clemen was a 2014 Intel ISEF finalist.
  • Makayla Gates, Grade 8, from Peralta, New Mexico for her聽Sassy Sound Solar Cleaner.听Makayla was a 2014 Broadcom MASTERS finalist.
  • Michelle M. Marquez, Grade 11, from Midlothian, Virginia, for her聽Mapping of Emotional Dimensions Toward a Neuro-Thermal Biometric System for the Diagnosis of Emotional Flexibility.听Michelle was a 2013 Broadcom MASTERS semifinalist, 2014 Intel ISEF finalist, and 2015 Intel ISEF finalist.
